In Smash Up, you’ll have to build your deck by choosing two factions to play with. Each faction has a different style and ability: Pirates move cards, Zombies return from the discard pile, Dinosaurs are terrifyingly huge… From game to game you’ll get completely different combos and create a unique and completely new style of play. Choose yours, clash your factions with that of your opponents and start the carnage!

Plants grow out of control, steampunks build on bases, ghosts shriek from beyond, and bears scare opponents away by terrorizing them. For two players this box is all you need to play, but you can mix and match decks with those in the base game to bring Smash Up up to 6 players, pumping the gaming experience to 9000!

Smash Up: Il Sempreverde Cthulhu introduces 4 new decks and is a stand-alone game, but can be combined with the other titles in the Smash Up series to exponentially increase the amount of possible matches… which are now so many! The setting of this set is unique, because unlike the previous ones has a main theme: The Myths of Cthulhu. Yes, get ready to cultists, tentacled monsters, Miskatonic scholars and inhabitants of Innsmouth (the decks follow these four ‘cultures’, roughly), as well as to see your sanity shaken thanks to a new game mechanic.
Smash Up is back with new Factions for even more reckless action! Ciak, Motore, Fazione! brings four new assault groups with never-before-seen abilities. Time Travelers will let you reuse cards over and over again, Cyborg Monkeys will attack opponents on a whole new level, Super Spies will use their gadgets to plot against anyone, and Shapeshifters can be anyone they want… Smash Up: Action, Engine, Faction! is an expansion of the popular Smash Up. Defeat all opponents and conquer the bases on your way to victory. This expansion contains Time Travelers, Cyborg Monkeys, Super Spies and Shapeshifters. For a minimum of two players and fully compatible with all other Smash Up boxes.
Smash Up: Arrivano i Mostri is an expansion for the highly entertaining Smash Up! This time the underlying theme is the glorious films of the British company Hammer Film Productions and the four races present follow the myth of the legendary characters that appeared in their horror-movies. In fact, we have the Vampires, who can increase their strength by destroying the opposing Minions; the Mad Scientists, who in their laboratories give life to monstrous creatures by boosting them out of all proportion; the Werewolves, with their explosive wild and destructive strength; and finally the Giant Ants, who act as a swarm controlled by a single collective mind. As usual, this is a complete stand-alone game, but at the same time a perfect addition mergable with any other set of the saga.
Did you think that only Pirates, Time Travelers, Vampires and Bears could compete for the devastation of Bases? Well, then get ready for someone else to teach you a lesson… in the cutest way possible! Pretty Pretty Smash Up brings to your table the corniest factions you’ve ever seen, battling it out for the win! We’ve got the Kitty Cats whose extreme cuteness proves to be their deadliest weapon, able to take control of opposing Minions; the Princesses flaunt their royalty, beauty and ‘love’ to fight their way to the goal; the Fairies are as cute as they are mean, with plenty of tricks at their disposal; and finally the pack of Mithic Horses are ready to work together to take over. Pretty Pretty Smash Up is a complete stand-alone game for 2 players, but can of course be merged with the other sets in the series to reach untold heights of fun and… of impossible (and lethal) racial combinations!
Two in One! È Colpa Vostra! and Big in Japan: a double expansion for double the fun!
È Colpa Vostra! is really your fault, since the expansion is the result of a survey promoted by AEG on what the public would like most. Players from all over the world responded and this set is the result! In the end, the races chosen were the Sharks, Superheroes, Greek Myths, and Dragons. In addition, as a bonus, there is also the faction of Tornados (Tornadoes), inserted almost certainly in order to give life to the combo “Shark-nado”, whose mention alone deserves the purchase of the set! As usual this is a complete game in its own right, but at the same time a perfect addition fused with any other set of the saga.
Smash Up: Big in Japan instead transports us into the world more kawaii that exists: the Japanese, of course! Four new factions taken directly from the pop culture of the rising sun: little girls fighters (in clothes … unlikely), small collectible monsters (who said Pokémon?!), warriors in brightly colored suits (which are NOT Power Rangers) and … Godzilla! But this set also offers an innovation: special cards called Titan that, when played, provide permanent bonuses by increasing the epicness of your faction!
Cessare e Desistere & A che pensavamo?: two new expansions that can be played independently of the base box.
Cessare e Desistere is in no way inspired by the great sagas of cinema and TV. So if you find factions that remind you of Transformers, Star Trek, Game of Thrones and Star Wars, know that any reference is purely coincidental. Or maybe not!
A che pensavamo? is an absurdly eclectic mix that even the authors don’t know how Rockers, Archaeologists, Grannies and Teddy Bears could have ended up together!
